Bolero Resources Corp. (BRU – TSX.V) is a junior natural resource company focused on the acquisition and development of graphite, gold and rare earth element properties throughout Canada.
The Company is a reporting issuer in Ontario, British Columbia and Alberta and is listed on the TSX-Venture Exchange under the symbol BRU, the Pink Sheets under the symbol BRUZF, and the Frankfurt Exchange under U7N1.
Throughout 2012, Bolero intends to focus on its primary long term goals of acquiring and developing quality mining projects to create cash producing assets while building and strengthening our core operations in mineral exploration and development to ultimately increase overall shareholder value.
Bolero has three primary Graphite, Gold and Rare Earth Element projects in British Columbia, Ontario, and the Yukon:
Bolero Resources Corp. holds a 100% interest in 38 mineral claims highly prospective for large-flake Graphite, contiguous to Northern Graphite’s (NGC – TSX.V) Bissett Creek Graphite deposit that recently reported high recovery levels of large-flake, high-purity graphite, consistent across their entire resource, with overall recovery rates at approximately 97%. (NGC.V News Release 23/04/2012)
The Property is located in the Maria Township, approximately 17 kilometres from the Trans Canada Highway between the cities of Ottawa and North Bay, Ontario. The Property covers an area of approximately 4,990 hectares (12,335 acres) and is contiguous to and completely surrounding the "Bissett Creek" graphite deposit on all four sides. An extensive work program is now being planned to commence shortly on these claims.
Bolero Resources' President and CEO, R. Bruce Duncan, stated "This significant new acquisition gives Bolero exposure to the red-hot graphite market in a location that hosts some of the world's richest graphite deposits, contiguous to one of the most advanced new graphite projects in the world. Bolero is currently establishing an experienced graphite technical team to initiate an extensive 2012 work program on the property. In addition to the commencement of work on its property, Bolero will be advancing its 'Red Chris South' and 'Carbonatite Syndicate' projects throughout the 2012 work season."
The “Carbonatite Syndicate” Rare Earth Element prospect consisting of 211 mineral claims covering over 90,000 hectares (222,415 acres) contiguous to and completely surrounding several significant rare earth element discoveries in northern BC that reported drill hole intersections of 48.64 meters of 3.55% combined rare earth elements (REE), 144 meters of 2.2% combined REEs and 72 meters of 2.92% REEs. Recent rare earth element soil assays from the "Carbonatite Syndicate" property returned maximum concentrations of Cerium (Ce) and Lanthanum (La) as high as 1205 ppm and 663 ppm respectively. A follow up work program is now being planned for 2012.
The 100% owned “Charge” Rare Earth Element prospect is located in northern British Columbia, approximately 50 kilometres southeast of the Kemess Mine operated by Northgate Minerals (NGX – TSX). The “Charge” REE prospect contains significant Rare Earth Element sample results, currently the highest Lanthanum (La) – 1,146 ppm, Yttrium (Y) – 647 ppm and second highest Cerium (Ce) – 1,247ppm samples in the province of British Columbia’s Regional Geochemical Survey (BCRGS) database, with over 7,000 samples recently taken from the region. Management is currently planning an upcoming 2012 work program.
The “Red Chris South” copper-gold prospect covering over 13,000 acres in north-western BC, contiguous to Imperial Metals Corp (III - TSX) “Red Chris” copper-gold discovery where they recently announced drill intercepts of 528.7 metres grading 1.97 g/t gold and 1.13% copper. Bolero is currently planning a 2012 follow-up work program to further define 2011 drill results an anomalous soil samples.
The White Gold Claims consist of two separate quartz claim blocks covering over 6,500 acres in the “White Gold District” of the Yukon in close proximity to recently announced discoveries by Kaminak Gold Corporation (KAM – TSX.V) at their "Coffee" property and by Underworld Resources Inc. that has recently agreed to a friendly takeover by Kinross Gold Corp. Bolero recently announced the discovery of a significant multi-element soil anomaly on their "White Gold," Yukon prospect, as result of sampling conducted by Equity Exploration Consultants Ltd. 2012 work will further define this multi-element anomaly.
