R. Bruce Duncan
Mr. R. Bruce Duncan, Executive Chairman
Mr. R. Bruce Duncan has nearly thirty years experience in the capital market and brokerage industry, including eight years with Gordon Capital Corporation. Mr. Duncan is currently the President of West Oak Capital Partners Inc., which provides strategic advisory services, including identifying and qualifying merger and acquisition candidates and advising in public transactions. Mr. Duncan's client base has included financial services, aviation, mining, oil and gas, logistics, and retail industries. Mr. Duncan currently sits on the boards of several private companies and is a Director of Evolving Gold Corp. Mr. Duncan is the former President and CEO of AusPotash Corp., an Australian potash company sold to a UK firm. Mr. Duncan has extensive experience advising on corporate takeovers, both friendly and hostile, either by designing and executing effective approaches to acquiring assets or by implementing defensive strategies.

Paul A. Ogilvie
Paul A. Ogilvie, Chief Executive Officer
Paul Ogilvie brings a wealth of knowledge in the graphite sector. For over 33 years, Mr. Ogilvie has been extensively involved in several start-ups and well-established graphite companies including Mega Graphite where he previously served as Chief Executive Officer, director and founder since 2009. Mr. Ogilvie has developed world class technologies, setting a new standard in how the graphite markets operate. In 2007, he led a private investment group in the re-development and turnaround of Industrial Minerals Inc. (now known as Northern Graphite Corporation (NGC-TSX.V)), a junior mining company whose mine is now developing one of the largest large-flake natural graphite deposits in the world.

Bruce Coventry - Director
Mr. Coventry brings more than 35 years experience in the automobile industry to his position on the board. He has held senior management positions with General Motors, Ford, Chrysler, Global Electric Motorcars and Dresser Inc. Currently, Mr. Coventry is chief executive officer of Nostrum Motors, a wholly owned subsidiary of Nostrum Pharmaceuticals. Recently, he was vice-president, operations, of Electrovaya Inc. in Mississauga, Ont. Electrovaya designs and manufactures lithium-ion superpolymer batteries, battery systems and battery-related products for clean electric transportation vehicles. From 2005 to 2009, Mr. Coventry held a board position with Global Engine Manufacturing Alliance, a joint venture between Chrysler, Hyundai and Mitsubishi. Currently, he sits on the board of trustees of Kettering University in Flint, Mich. Following his graduation from Kettering University in 1975, Mr. Coventry obtained an MBA from Michigan State University in 1991.

Greg Lipton, Director
Greg Lipton is a registered Professional Geoscientist with the Association of Professional Geoscientists of Ontario (APGO), and a long time member of the Prospectors and Developers Association of Canada (PDAC). He has more than 33 years of field experience in international exploration for base metal, precious metal, diamond, and industrial mineral deposits, most of which was with BHP International and Utah International as a Senior Geologist. Mr. Lipton has worked many and varied geologic environments including porphyry, epithermal, VMS, MVT, BHT, and Sedex types in North, Central, and South America, Africa, Australia, Southeast Asia, and the Middle East. He has been a frequent speaker at professional conferences and at seminars, and has authored and co-authored numerous technical papers. Mr. Lipton has held his current position as President, CEO, and Director of Metallum Resources Inc. (formerly as Young-Shannon Gold Mines Limited) since the fall of 2004. He has expanded the company's property holdings into Argentina with a gold property; the first time the company has been involved in an offshore exploration environment. He has plans to continue an aggressive campaign of acquiring quality mineral properties globally.

Olga Nikitovic
Olga Nikitovic, CA, Chief Financial Officer
Ms. Nikitovic is a chartered accountant and management consultant with over 20 years of work experience. Ms. Nikitovic worked at PricewaterhouseCoopers for nine years in both the audit and management consulting departments. While consulting, Ms. Nikitovic specialized in re-engineering and cost management. After leaving PricewaterhouseCoopers, Ms. Nikitovic held senior management positions with two of Canada's largest retailers. At present, Ms. Nikitovic is the Chief Financial Officer for a number of private and publically traded mining companies.


Management Team

John Carter, P.ENG., Vice President, Engineering
Mr. Carter has over 30 years experience in the metals and mining industries. Mr. Carter specializes in the engineering, design, and manufacturing of mineral processing equipment for mining operations and for operators such as Timcal Inc., currently the largest natural graphite mining company in North America. Recently Mr. Carter served as Vice President of Operations at Mega Graphite Inc., a junior mining company. Mr. Carter brings significant value to Bolero because of his extensive knowledge of mill development and mines in the natural graphite sector. Mr. Carter holds a Bachelor degree in civil engineering from McMaster University.

Paul Hynek, Advisor, Research and Development
Mr. Hynek spent 35 years in various roles in research and development at Inco Limited, one of the world's premier mining and metals companies, in business for over 100 years. Initially Mr. Hynek spent a number of years in the development of extractive metallurgical processes. During his last 20 years at Inco, Mr. Hynek was involved in product research, acting as a liaison between the laboratory and Inco’s refineries near Sudbury, Ontario, and Swansea, Wales. Mr. Hynek helped establish and managed a materials characterization laboratory with state-of-the-art analytical equipment used in the development and physical characterization of new materials primarily based on nickel and graphite for the electronics industry including capacitors and rechargeable batteries, and conductive gasket materials. After Mr. Hynek’s retirement in 2005, he acted as a consultant for Industrial Minerals Inc. (now known as Northern Graphite Corporation), in the development of their Bissett Creek graphite property, followed by a similar role with Mega Graphite. In these roles, Mr. Hynek investigated methods of optimizing the crushing and grinding of ore and extraction of graphite flake to as high a level of purity as possible while preserving flake size. Mr. Hynek also studied techniques for the production of exfoliated graphite. Mr. Hynek’s list of graphite related contacts in both industry and academia is extensive.

Skip Hamilton, Project Manager
Mr. Hamilton has over 30 years’ experience related to all aspects of the resource/mineral development business. Background includes property & project due diligence, project management, property development, pilot plant testing, product development, government agency liaison and all related consultant due diligence. Mr. Hamilton is currently assessing graphite properties in Quebec, Ontario, Arizona and Brazil. Previously, Mr. Hamilton was a property and project consultant for Industrial Minerals Inc., now known as Northern Graphite Corporation.

Robert Rice, Senior Process Engineer
Mr. Rice has 40 years experience in the technology of metals and has been actively involved in solving metallurgical problems in mineral processing and extractive metallurgy. Mr. Rice founded the mining division at Eaglebrook of Canada, for the removal and treatment of heavy metal from the waters of 25 different mines in Canada and South America, to Ministry of Environment discharge standards. Mr. Rice was actively involved with the mill facility upgrade at Northern Graphite Corporation (NGC-TSX.V), a junior mining company, to further increase production of high quality jumbo flake graphite. Mr. Rice helped in the smelting and refining of refractory ores for alloy recovery at the Cobalt Refinery’s’ smelter in Northern Ontario, following this Mr. Rice designed and installed a silver recovery refinery for Northgate Mining Company in the Republic of Ireland. Mr. Rice designed and built a Sodium Amyl Xanthate re-hydration plant to supply chemicals to Inco and Falconbridge and has produced a proprietary design for an integrated air separator combined with screening and magnetic separation for flake graphite. Mr. Rice continues research and innovation pertaining to graphite beneficiation methods.

Mark N. Burack, Vice President, Business Development
Since leaving IBM Mr. Burack has had 20+ years of business experience managing client and business development for a number of Technology companies including EMC Corp., SHL SystemHouse, GE Capital, Puredata Corp., etc., in the US and Canada. Mr. Burack has multi years experience as a business strategy professional developing strategy and programs for clients including IBM, Ogilvy Mather Advertising, Canadian Living Magazine, Compact Canada and Escada Canada. Mr. Burack’s more personal style, track record in developing mutually beneficial business partnerships and multi years experience delivering superior business cases/cost justification make him an excellent asset to Bolero partner companies and clients.

Ashis Basu, Director, Product Development and Sales Operations
Mr. Basu has over thirty years of product development, marketing, sales process optimization and operations experience in India, East Africa and Canada in the private, public, and government sectors. Mr. Basu has extensive knowledge and relationships within the lithium-Ion battery industry. Most recently Mr. Basu has been involved with one of North America’s leading cell and battery system manufacturers based in Canada, where Mr. Basu led the development and launch of new battery systems for the health care, e-mobility, telecom and energy storage industries.

Laurie A. McCarney, Director, Corporate Communications
Mrs. McCarney comes to Bolero with over 20 years of sales, marketing, public relations, and senior leadership experience in a variety of businesses. Mrs. McCarney’s responsibilities have included strategic planning, financial reporting, publishing, and positions of sales manager, general manager and president. With many years in corporate communications, Mrs. McCarney's mandate will be to manage and orchestrate all internal and external communications to customers, shareholders and stakeholders while maintaining an up-to-date website and to disseminate important information within our group of companies. At present, Mrs. McCarney is Director of Corporate Communications for Mega Graphite Inc.

Dick van Wyck, B.A., LL.B., LL.M., In-house Counsel
Mr. van Wyck has over 20 years of experience practicing business and commercial law, as in-house counsel with the federal Canadian Department of Justice as well as Laidlaw Inc. and Waste Management Inc. / Canadian Waste Services Inc. Mr. van Wyck has developed expertise in corporate and commercial law, intellectual property matters, mergers and acquisitions, contracting, commercial leases, environmental law and business law. Mr. van Wyck has a Bachelor degree from the University of Toronto, a Bachelor of Laws degree from the University of Ottawa, and a Master of Laws degree from the London School of Economics and Political Science.

Ian Smith
Ian Smith, BE Min (Hons), F. AusIMM, MCIM, MSME
Mr. Smith is a Chartered Professional and a mining engineering graduate of the University of Queensland, Australia, with over 40 years experience in corporate, operations, project management and consulting within the international base metals and precious metals industries. Mr. Smith is currently an officer or director of several public companies including; President and CEO of Santa Fe Metals Corp. and CEO of Yellowhead Mining Corp. He was President and CEO of bcMetals Corp. where he had engineered the Red Chris copper/gold porphyry project for development in northwest BC prior to being acquired by Imperial Metals Corp. in February 2007 at a 162% premium over market. Under his leadership, bcMetals completed a Detailed Feasibility Study, completed environmental permitting and arranged $105 million in project debt financing. His involvement with other large scale copper operations at a senior management level include the 90,000 tonne per day (tpd) Bougainville Copper project in Papua New Guinea, the 72,000 tpd La Caridad mine in Mexico, the +100,000 (tpd) Dexing Copper Mine in the PRC and the Zambian Copperbelt. Mr. Smith was President and founding partner of one of North America’s most successful mining industry consulting companies until purchased by Canadian interests in 1995.

Gerald H. Rayner
Mr. Rayner has over 40 years of experience in the mining industry and has practised his profession on every continent except Antarctica. The bulk of his time has been spent in Western North America including Mexico and Central America, in Australia and the South Pacific, in Indonesia and other parts of Asia, and in various South American countries. Mr. Rayner's primary areas of expertise lie in reconnaissance exploration and in the evaluation of mineral properties at the earlier stages of exploration and development. While with Kennecott, Mr. Rayner was in charge of exploration in Papua New Guinea in the South Pacific where his efforts during this period resulted in the discovery of several porphyry copper deposits including the Ok Tedi Mine.
